Paul Heyman knows there’s pressure to deliver in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, calling the PLE WWE’s “audition” for WrestleMania. Survivor Series; WarGames takes place on Saturday from PetCo Park in San Diego, California. The card includes two WarGames matches, John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio, and more.

Paul Heyman stopped by ESPN’s First Take to promote the PPV. When asked how the show is different from past WarGames, he pointed out the talent in the matches. He also noted that WrestleMania tickets go on sale on Friday, and that this PLE serves as a way to draw fans in to see WrestleMania. You can see highlights below:

On What Makes This Year’s WarGames Different:

“Well I mean first of all, the cast that’s in this WarGames is just — this is the greatest assembly of talent on either side. I mean, just the three people that you saw inside the ring at the top of the segment. Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief. There’s CM Punk, the World Champion. There’s Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed Champion. These are three of the biggest stars in WWE, plus the greatest tag team of all time admittedly, the Usos.

“And then on our side, you have — my God. Brock Lesnar, you have Bron Breaker, you have Drew McIntyre, you have Bronson Reed, you have Logan Paul. And you have Paul Heyman out there as well.”

On Survivor Series Being an ‘Audition’ For WrestleMania:

“This is not only something where we understand the tradition of WarGames and we have to deliver the greatest WarGames of all time. And we’re very cognizant of that fact. We have to topple the previous WarGames. But also, this is really an infomercial for WrestleMania. Because as you must know by now, there’s such a huge publicity push out there that the individual tickets for WrestleMania Saturday, WrestleMania Sunday go on sale on Black Friday.

“So we are out there just showing the world, ‘Hey, check out this spectacle. Check out what WWE is about’… This is our audition for the world to come to Vegas for WrestleMania. At the same time, giving the most bang for the buck in the greatest WarGames of all time.”
