Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actor turned pro wrestler Paul Walter Hauser has officially confirmed his attendance for Eric Bischoff’s ONE-SHOT, taking place this Thursday at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The highly anticipated MLW concept show is presented on YouTube for free in full starting at 9pm ET, with local bell at 7pm.
Hauser’s connection to this event runs deep. It was on Bischoff’s wildly popular podcast, 83 Weeks, that the seeds for ONE-SHOT were planted, with Hauser himself urging the legendary Bischoff to consider returning to the helm of a wrestling show for one night only. Now, the dream is a reality, and the stage is set for a spectacle unlike any other.
Hauser made his debut earlier this year, trained by none other than MLW’s Paul London. But things turned personal when the Rogue Horsemen viciously attacked London in NYC this past August, putting him on the shelf. While London has recently returned to action, he’s currently touring overseas and unable to appear at ONE-SHOT. However, Hauser has made it clear he hasn’t forgotten – or forgiven – the Rogue Horsemen’s actions.
Eric Bischoff, ever the showman, is no stranger to creating iconic moments with celebrity involvement. From Dennis Rodman to Shaq to Jay Leno, Bischoff has consistently recognized the unique star power celebrities bring to the sport of professional wrestling.
Now, with Hauser rolling into NYC, fans are left wondering:
What will happen when Paul Walter Hauser steps into the Melrose Ballroom?
Tickets start at $15 at http://www.MLWNYC.com. Tickets will also be available day of show at the box office unless the event sales out in advance.
