Update On Piper Niven’s Injury Status Amid WWE Absence

WWE Superstar Piper Niven is currently out of action due to an alleged “career-ending” neck injury.

In the latest Q&A session hosted by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, a fan sought an update on the SmackDown Superstar’s current status. According to Johnson, Niven and WWE are trying their best to determine the “best course of action” with regard to the treatment of her injured neck.

Niven was last seen in action on the August 22, 2025 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, where she battled 14-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a singles match.

Niven went on to surprisingly defeat The Queen, earning The Green Regime a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Niven and Alba Fyre were scheduled to challenge Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for tag team gold on the August 29, 2025 episode of SmackDown. However, the match was canceled at the last minute due to Piper Niven’s absence, much to the surprise of fans.

This led to Chelsea Green replacing the Scottish pro wrestler in the Women’s Tag Team Title match, which eventually took place on the September 19 edition of SmackDown. However, The Green Regime was unsuccessful in upstaging The Queen and Little Miss Bliss.
