[PODCAST] Hardway Podcast: CW Anderson Interview
On October 2nd, 2013, “the Enforcer” CW Anderson stopped by the Hardway Podcast for a 50 minute interview discussing his career and ultimately tells some stories that gives an in-depth look into certain moments of his career. CW discussed training at the WCW Power Plant and how it all led to getting into ECW in mid 1999, as well as becoming a member of ECW’s final generation of talent developed through the eyes of Paul Heyman.
For the first time, CW gives a bare-knuckles look into the legacy of the I-Quit match from Guilty as Charged on January 7, 2001 (CW’s 30 birthday, coincidentally) against Tommy Dreamer and gives reasoning behind certain moments within the match, how he prepared for it, and how the stalling superplex on Towel Boy was the “heaviest suplex” he had ever given. Such an incredible look inside what some critics have labeled “the greatest I-Quit match ever”.
Being a part of the revived ECW banner in 2006 under the WWE umbrella, CW does not hold back on why his name was changed to Christopher W. Anderson, what issues he had while under contract, and, in what might be the most controversial story ever told on the Hardway, how Vince McMahon completely screwed around with a CW Anderson vs Shannon Moore match in the Hammerstein Ballroom on August 1, 2006 via the referee headset. And as Jon Harder was told by CW, “if you need verification for this, you can directly ask Shannon Moore himself!”
“The Enforcer” also goes into detail about Major League Wrestling, Japan, and so much more! You can listen to the show at this link. or via the player below…
