Queens of Combat Results 6.13.15 – Gibsonville, North Carolina

I attended Day 1 of the inaugural Queens of Combat title tournament in the CWF Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville, NC. Every show for this promotion thus far has featured quality female athletes who have worked hard and impressed in every match, and today was no exception. The combatants were a mix of women who have appeared consistently with the promotion (Solo Darling, Taeler Hendrix, Jessicka Havok, Tessa Blanchard) and women appearing there for the first time (Samantha Garrett, Mandy Leon, Hania), and the matches were all strong.

In the opening match, Su Yung defeated Solo Darling with the Purge after a competitive match.

In the next match, Hardcore Heather Owens and local favorite Chasity Taylor went to a double countout as the two women decided to beat the daylights out of each other outside the ring after having a strong back-and-forth match.

In the next match, Mandy Leon faced Santana Garrett in both women’s first appearance with the promotion. It was a very competitive and very athletic back-and-forth affair with Santana winning with the Handspring Moonsault.

The next match was supposed to be the debut for Aspyn Rose – unfortunately Jessicka Havok destroyed her in under a minute and proceeded to cut a promo on her first-round opponent in the tournament, Miss Diss Lexia.

After a brief intermission, Hania made her Queens of Combat debut against local favorite Tessa Blanchard. This was another strong match with both women showing great skill. Tessa won after a chair allegedly got involved, incapacitating Hania outside the ring prior to Tessa getting the pinfall.

The next match featured another local favorite, Amanda Rodriguez, against QoC debutante Jenny Rose. This was a fairly technical match, with Rose getting the win. Both women impressed in this one.

The next match featured Taeler Hendrix (who was way over with the crowd) facing local talent Amy Love. Taeler showed her darker side tonight and defeated her opponent after a very strong and hard-hitting match.

In the next match, Jessicka Havok took on Miss Diss Lexia. MDL put forth a strong effort, but in the end, Jessicka was too much for her and took the victory.

In the final match of the evening, Leva Bates took on LuFisto. This match was excellent, with both women showing great technical skills as well as very hard-hitting athleticism. This highly competitive match ended with LuFisto getting her hand raised.

Day two of the tournament will be held on Sunday, June 14th at Ziggy’s in Winston-Salem NC (to be followed by PWX Wrestling’s “Heroes/Villains” that evening).
