As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Ridge Holland (aka Luke Menzies) was expected to undergo neck fusion surgery. The wrestler shared an update on the procedure yesterday via social media.
Menzies thanked his doctor and medical staff at the hospital for taking care of them. As previously reported, the former NXT Tag Team Champion recently revealed that WWE will cover the cost of his upcoming neck fusion surgery.
The procedure is expected to keep Ridge Holland out of action until May 2026. WWE terminated his contract earlier this month, after he reportedly violated a rule that prohibits talents from disparaging the company. However, WWE will still cover his medical and rehab costs.
As previously noted, Holland wrote on social media that he felt abandoned by WWE after opting not to renew his contract while he was out of action due to injury. He suffered a foot injury while working a TNA TV taping earlier in September.
Following the incident, one of Holland’s family members created a GoFundMe campaign for him, which received donations from AEW and WWE wrestlers. However, Holland later revealed that he was not aware of the campaign and shut it down, apologizing to fans and revealing that he plans to donate the proceeds to charity.
The wrestler later expressed regret over the comments, leading to WWE terminating his contract ahead of schedule. The clip Holland shared on social media is available below:
