Rumor on Possible Location & Venue for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door III

– According to a report by The Mat Men’s Andrew Zarian, AEW is planning to hold this year’s Forbidden Door III event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. The event is reportedly expected to happen in June 2024 once again. Forbidden Door began as a co-promotional joint pay-per-view event for AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) starting in 2022.

AEW held the first Forbidden Door event at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois in June 2022. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II was held at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in June 2023. This would mark the first time the event was held in New York.

AEW has not yet announced plans for this year’s Forbidden Door III event. Arthur Ashe stadium has typically been the host venue for AEW’s Grand Slam shows.
