Drake Morreaux has been removed from the WWE Performance Center by Shawn Michaels following his recent appearance on WWE LFG Season 3. The update came after his May 3 match against Tristan Angels.
Morreaux had spent close to three years training and developing within WWE’s Performance Center. His appearances on WWE LFG were part of that progression, giving him in-ring exposure and coaching opportunities.
According to the segment, NXT head of creative and talent development Shawn Michaels informed Morreaux that there was currently no available spot for him on the WWE NXT roster. He noted that Morreaux had received positive feedback during his time, but the decision was based on the amount of time to be invested.
Following the update, Morreaux was directed toward an opportunity outside WWE’s developmental system. The show indicated he will be heading to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide for the next phase of his career.
He later met with The Undertaker, who previously coached Morreaux during WWE LFG Season 1. No additional details have been confirmed regarding his debut or role in AAA programming. WWE has not issued a separate statement beyond what was presented on the show.
