Sol Ruca remains WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion after defeating Lyra Valkyria on this week’s episode of RAW. The title match saw both women deliver strong performances, but it was Ruca who found an opening late and retained her championship with a perfectly timed Sol Snatcher.
Despite Valkyria initially gaining the upper hand, Ruca eventually fought her way back into the match. She nearly stole a victory with a roll-up before landing a series of hard chops to Valkyria’s chest. The momentum continued to swing back and forth as both women looked for an opening.
Valkyria appeared to be closing in on a win when she set up for a Tornado DDT out of the corner. Ruca escaped by landing on her feet, but Valkyria quickly recovered and dropped her with a shotgun dropkick. The finish came moments later.
Valkyria lifted Ruca onto her shoulders and looked ready to put the champion away. Instead, Ruca countered into the Sol Snatcher, and that was enough to secure the three-count and end the match.
With the victory, Sol Ruca successfully retained the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Lyra Valkyria did her homework before her IC Title match tonight and got super close BUT STILL YOUR WOMEN'S INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION…
