Sol Ruca is grateful for her time on NXT Level Up, noting that it have her the confidence she needed for when she arrived on NXT. Ruca worked on the now-defunct Friday night show in 2022 and the early parts of 2023. Since then, Ruca has had runs as NXT Women’s North American Champion and WWE Speed Women’s Champion, not to mention beating Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Ruca spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and said that NXT Level Up was important to her development.
“I think Level Up was definitely a key to success,” Ruca said. “Just being able to get out there and not having it be as intimidating as being on the main show, especially with me not coming in with any background on wrestling. Just being able to get out in front of a crowd and work and if you make mistakes, you learn how to get back on track and not having it be live, it was a great learning experience and it was a great way to get in front of that NXT crowd and get them familiar with me before debuting officially on NXT.”
Ruca continued, “Just being able to work a bunch of different people, people that were just starting on Level Up and also people that were on NXT, being able to learn from that. Having those reps, as many reps as possible to get that confidence to debut on NXT.”
Ruca is coming off the high of her victory over Bayley at Saturday’s show.
