Steve Maclin showed up during the main event of TNA No Surrender and repeated his attack on Mike Santana. Friday night’s TNA+ event featured Santana teaming with Leon Slater against Nic Nemeth and Eddie Edwards.

During the match, Maclin came out and assaulted Santana. The two brawled into the audience, leaving Slate to take on Nemeth and Edwards alone. Slater hit a high crossbody on his opponents and the referee went down, after which The System went after Slater. Moose then appeared to lay out the members of the System, then brawled to the back with Edwards. Nemeth hit Slater with the Fameasser for a two-count, but Slater was able to recover and put Nemeth down, hitting the Swanton 450 for the pinfall victory after 23 minutes since the bell.

Maclin was “fired” as the result of receiving the pink slip briefcase in the Feast or Fired match on the January 22nd episode of Impact. The briefcase reveal happened on the following week’s show. Maclin assaulted Santana on last week’s TNA Impact as he was saying his goodbyes. It was reported on Thursday that Maclin’s release was a work.
