Swerve Strickland and The New Level remain the AEW World Trios Champions, retaining their titles in the opening match of AEW Dynamite. The champions battled The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong on Wednesday’s show, a bout that ran 15 minutes and saw the champions pick up the win.

The match had several chaotic moments as the two teams got some of their trademark offense in on each other. In the end, Kofi dodged an Orange Punch from Cassidy and set him up for a House Call from Strickland. Austin Creed went up top and he and Kofi hit the Day Break to get the pinfall and retain the titles.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. After the match, The Demand and The Lethal Twist came out to threaten the champions but Hangman and Brodido showed up to back Strickland and The New Level up.

Strickland and The New Level have held the titles for 11 days, winning them in a Royal Roulette at AEW All In. This is their second defense of the titles.
