On the latest episode of Everybody’s Got a Pod, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase talked about the Road Warriors’ WWE debut in 1990 as the Legion of Doom and more. You can check out some highlights below:
On the Road Warriors’ WWE debut: “Well, I think it was good. I mean, they proved to be one of the best tag teams. It’s like, I tell everybody, I had the opportunity — not too many athletes of any sport. Like even now, I’m a big fan of European football, which is soccer. They call it football. And to play in Wembley Stadium is a big deal. Well, I got to wrestle in Wembley Stadium [at SummerSlam 1992]. And who did I wrestle? The Road Warriors. And we were a little concerned about Hawk, but he [ended up] being fine.”
On Animal: “He was the go-to guy. He was the guy that you know, when we got together and talked about things, he was the guy that — I would call him the leader of the team, if you could call him one. But Hawk on the other hand, you know, he’s the guy with all the charisma. Lot of charisma.”
