The Opps Retain AEW World Trios Title at AEW All In Texas, Death Riders Assault Champs After Loss

– The Opps divided and conquered against The Death Riders at today’s AEW All In Texas event, retaining The AEW World Trios Titles in a hard-fought match. Samoa Joe pulled off a win for his team after hitting Wheeler Yuta with a Muscle Buster.

NJPW star Gabe Kidd was the third man fighting on behalf of The Death Riders at today’s event. It wasn’t enough to overcome the overwhelming unit of Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Powerhouse Hobbs. The Opps have held the titles for 81 days, winning the belts earlier in April against The Death Riders.

Unfortunately, the victory was short-lived. After the match, The Death Riders assaulted the champs, and Claudio Castagnoli hit Joe with a Neutralizer. He then stomped on Joe’s neck with a chair. Doctors attended to Joe, who was later taken away in a stretcher.
