On the latest episode of Six Feet Under, The Undertaker and Kurt Angle looked back on their classic World Heavyweight Championship match from No Way Out 2006. You can check out some highlights below:
Angle on the match: “Anybody that hasn’t seen No Way Out, go watch it. 2006, Kurt Angle vs. Undertaker. If you want to learn about the business and you want to know what an exciting, solid match needs to be, that is the match. We had so many submission trade-offs and false finishes. It was just a really exciting match. Just kept growing and growing, getting bigger and bigger and bigger, all the way to the end.”
The Undertaker on working with smaller guys: “I look back on those days, and I always liked working like me. Personally, I always liked working with smaller guys, right? You and Eddie, you guys had that rare ability — Shawn Michaels is in that group of guys, too. You could make them forget the size difference because of how aggressive and tenacious you were.
“I try to get people to do matches like that. No one — they don’t want to work like that anymore. I think in this generation — and it’s not wrong. I understand, because it takes a while to get it set up to really get to the payoff of it, right? I would really love to see somebody like, aggressively get after a body part.”
