Timothee Chalamet is a lifelong WWE fan, and he recently rated ECW One Night Stand 2006 as his favorite PPV ever. The film star has reached the A-list in Hollywood with roles in films like Dune, A Complete Unknown, and the upcoming Marty Supreme. He recently appeared on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? and spoke about some of his favorite wrestling moments.
Chalamet named One Night Stand 2006 as his favorite PPV and Paul Heyman as someone he’s a big fan of. You can see the highlights below:
On Heyman:
“I love Paul Heyman dude. I like that he’s on all the broadcasts. I think he brings such a — I don’t wanna say level of authenticity, but he just seems like the real [deal]. And also, he was away for a long time, right? It’s like 10 years or something.”
On ECW One Night Stand 2006:
“That’s my favorite PPV ever, is ECW One Night Stand in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. That was Sabu, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena. Yeah, that’s when RVD’s push got canceled there for a weed violation or something… But that crowd was electric. And JBL talking s**t from the stands.”
On Heyman’s ECW Promo:
“But that’s like a masterpiece. Talking about acting. And Paul’s like — what he’s saying, it’s from the gut. Obviously he’s been hired by WWE on that occasion, I’m thinking. But his animosity is so real for what are the corporate big dogs in a sense.”
