As previously reported, Willow Nightingale announced last night on AEW Dynamite that she suffered a shoulder injury. As a result, she vacated the TBS Championship and also had to withdraw from the Owen Hart Tournament due to injury. During today’s AEW Double or Nothing media call, Tony Khan answered a question from Powerbomb Shells’ Samantha Schipman regarding the AEW TBS Title (via Fightful).
According to Tony Khan, AEW will address the TBS Championship situation after Double or Nothing. Also, with Nightingale withdrawing from the tournament, a new wild card entrant is set to replace her.
AEW Double or Nothing 2026 takes place on Sunday, May 24. The event is being held at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
