Triple H appeared on the Pat McAfee Show today and discussed how WWE has helped Saudi Arabia evolve through the way they have used women on their shows, noting that the promotion gradually increased the role of women on their shows over the years. His comments are below.
“That’s been their goal from the beginning, I think, to change their perception, to change how they are, to open up that umbrella for women and with the country, but it takes time,” Triple H said. “You can’t just do that stuff all at once or you alienate all the people that are in front of it, that had an old, long standing belief, so you’ve got to do it over time. I truly believe that to initiate change, you gotta be part of it. You can’t just sit back from the sidelines and say we’re not going to participate and say these people don’t do things right. You need to be there and be part of that change and we’ve been part of that change since the beginning.”
