Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley recently opened up about his desire to transition to professional wrestling via WWE.
In an exclusive conversation with Betting Lounge, Woodley revealed that he actually had a WWE Tryout several years ago and that Chief Content Officer Triple H loved it. However, the COVID-19 pandemic shelved the conversation. Regardless, he is still open to performing inside a WWE ring.
“Hell yeah! You can do WWE 360. I actually did a tryout for the WWE a long time ago, before Ronda had already been in the WWE. I did a WWE camp in LA, and that sh*t hurt. That’s the reason my back was hurting from that damn rope. I killed it. Triple H loved me. But then, during the pandemic, they got rid of their training facility, so then, the conversation kind of got shelved. But, yeah, I would do WWE.”
Tyron Woodley, who has previously boxed against Jake Paul, wants to do a tag team match against Jake and his brother, Logan Paul. When asked about whom he would love to tag in with, Woodley was quick to name Yoel Romero.
“Bring Yoel Romero, f*** that. I’m bringing somebody that I’m scared of. I’m bringing his a**. Yoel Romero all day.”
