Update on Bayley Possibly Jumping to AEW & Note on Britt Baker’s Future

Bayley and Britt Baker are two iconic female wrestlers, but both of their futures could see big changes.

In the latest Fightful Select Q&A Answers, Sean Ross Sapp responded to a question about whether Bayley and Britt could be in the opposite companies by 2027. Sapp noted that Bayley eventually leaving WWE for AEW is a “legitimate possibility.” Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE), a close friend of Bayley’s, debuted in AEW back in March of 2024.

Sapp also noted that whole he isn’t sure about Britt Baker’s current status, he mentioned that Baker lives in Florida and could appear on NXT to give a boost to that brand.

Bayley, real name Pamela Rose Martinez, is currently 36 years old, an American professional wrestler who climbed from the indies to scoring her first win in WWE over Alicia Fox and Aksana in a tag team match with Charlotte Flair, and is a former holder of the WWE Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship, Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner, and WWE Women’s Champion. She has had memorable programs with the likes of Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Paige, Iyo Sky, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and more and has had iconic matches at WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Elimination Chamber, as well as on WWE RAW as part of the RAW brand and Smackdown. She’s known for her Bayley-to-belly suplex.

Britt Baker, real name Brittany Ann Baker, is a former AEW Women’s World Champion and was the first woman wrestler to sign with AEW. Baker has not appeared on AEW TV since November of 2024 after saying “nobody cares” towards Serena Deeb and the camera on the November 13th episode of AEW Dynamite.
