Update on Where Sheamus Has Been Recently

It’s written in our faces: a curiosity as to where Sheamus has been lately. The Celtic Warrior hasn’t been seen or heard from on WWE TV for a while now, without much of a formal update in his status.
He was last seen on the November 17th Raw, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to take on the Judgment Day. They won, and there was nothing in the storyline to suggest that Sheamus was going to be out of there for a while thereafter. He was subsequently pulled from the Last Time Is Now tournament. Reports at the time were that he had a shoulder injury. The Miz replaced him in the tournament, after having already been eliminated, and thus got the dubious honor of being eliminated twice
The PWInsider Q&A today, however, confirms what has been suspected: Sheamus got hurt during that match, and is still recovering. He had surgery in Alabama at the end of December. At the age of 48, recovery comes more slowly than it used to.
The former leader of the Brawling Brutes probably won’t be back in tome to start a storyline for WrestleMania, but a strong comeback right afterward could be just as impactful.
