Vanity Project Advance In Dusty Rhodes Classic On WWE NXT

Vanity Project are headed to the semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after a win on this week’s WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show opened the first semifinal match in the tournament as Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes battled Chazz “Starboy” Hall & Mini Vikingo.

Hall and Vikingo gave the NXT Tag Team Champions everything they could handle in the 13 minute match, scoring a few nearfalls with their aerial offense. But Vanity Project had Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood to assist, and Lockwood distracted Mini Vikingo early on so that her stablemates could regain the advantage.

The finish of the match saw Hall go up top for a shooting star press, but it ended up countered. Vanity Project hit Hall with an inverted DDT and double stomp to get the pin and advance.
