Vince McMahon Celebrates Birthday at NYC Restaurant With John Cena

According to a report by TMZ, former WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, being escorted by an unidentified female companion, was seen leaving the Waverly Inn restaurant on Bank Street in New York City last night (Aug. 24).

Vince was there celebrating his 77th birthday along with WWE Superstar and actor John Cena, who was also there with his wife Shay Shariatzadeh. A video clip showed McMahon leaving the restaurant and entering a van with his female companion. The clip later shows Cena also leaving the venue with his wife.

McMahon appeared to be quiet as he exited the restaurant, and he attempted to hide his face. Cena and his wife later left in a different vehicle. TMZ reports that Vince McMahon and Cena have maintained a “close relationship” throughout the years.

McMahon’s wife, Linda McMahon, was not seen at the event. As noted, Vince McMahon recently retired from WWE amid an investigation by the WWE Board Directors over “hush money” payment to a woman he was allegedly having an affair with. Later reports indicated he had made additional hush money payments, totaling over millions of dollars, over many years.
