Emily Jaye Looks Back On Her Debut For ROH
Emily Jaye made her ROH debut in January and she recently reflected on the experience. The independent talent spoke with Fightful over WrestleCade weekend and talked about making her ROH debut as Emily Hale alongside Brittany Jade against Leyla Hirsch and Rachael Ellering. You can see highlights below:
On not realizing she would be announced with her real name: “You see my thing was I didn’t even know they announced me as that name until I went out there. ‘Cause I was completely zoned out. ‘Cause when I saw my name on the board it also had my friend’s name on the board. So I was like, ‘Oh, they just put our names on there. That’s not what they’re going to announce us as.’”
On working with Maria Kanellis: “But pretty much, how I got to have the match, it was from Maria Kanellis. Shout out Maria. Love you. She literally came up to me, ‘cause we were just waiting for the board to get posted, she came up to me and she’s like, ‘Did you get a look at the board yet?’ I was like, ‘Why are you telling me this? Do you already look?’ She said, ‘Yep, let’s go look,’ and then we looked and she was like, ‘That’s your name.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna cry.’”
