Former WWE head writer Vince Russo has made his return to pro wrestling. Rumors were floating around recently that Russo had been writing for the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance).
However, that’s not the case. Juggalo Championship Wrestling sent out a press release today, confirming Russo’s new landing place. The promotion revealed that Russo appeared at a recent JCW Lunacy taping in Denver, Colorado, where he was quoted as saying:
“I’m back. If you thought JCW was wild and unpredictable before, you haven’t seen anything yet.” [via Bodyslam.net]
Notably, Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Russo was set to work with the NWA. The wrestling insider also claimed that Russo working in the NWA won’t matter owing to the promotion’s smaller presence in the wrestling business.
After appearing at the recent JCW taping, Vince Russo took shots at Meltzer on his X account earlier today and also revealed that he is now an investor in Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
“I hope you can now believe me about the Dirt Sheet Media. Led by the infallible @davemeltzerWON I have no idea where @nwa even came from,” Russo wrote on Twitter/X. “Not me. Of course, nobody even bothered to call me to ask. This is exactly what I’ve been saying about wresting journalists for years Dave—I told you the hair dye was starting to seep into your brain. I am now a proud INVESTOR in @jcwlunacy. You are about to see things you’d never thought you’d see on a professional wrestling show!!! The Mamby-Pamby, Phone It In BS IS OVER!!!” Vince Russo wrote.
