Latest Update On Walker Stewart’s Future With NJPW, AEW, And Stardom

Walker Stewart will continue working full-time with NJPW and Stardom while making limited appearances for AEW. The English-language commentator has clarified his contract terms and expected AEW schedule.

Stewart previously announced that he has signed a contract extension with NJPW. He will continue calling matches alongside Chris Charlton under his extended agreement. The contract extension also allows him to maintain his Stardom responsibilities and accept selected outside assignments. Several AEW appearances were already confirmed for the remainder of 2026. He also expects to make additional appearances in 2027. He recently provided commentary for an episode of AEW Collision.

Stewart confirmed in an interview with Self Made Pro Wrestling that his new contracts with NJPW and Stardom are both full-time. The New Japan deal runs through January 2029, and the Stardom contract expires in June 2027. His AEW commentary appearance will be billed on a per-appearance basis. Stewart said fans can expect to see him on AEW programming approximately once or twice per month. He wrote:

His involvement with Stardom will continue, even though NJPW and Stardom no longer share the same parent company.
