Wendy Choo is the new EVOLVE Women’s Champion, capturing the vacant title on this week’s episode of WWE EVOLVE. Wednesday night’s show on Tubi was headlined by a Gauntlet Match to crown a new champion with Choo, Nikkita Lyons, Laynie Luck, Tyra Mae Steele, PJ Vasa, Karmen Petrovic, Sloane Jacobs, and Kali Armstrong.
The final two of the match were Choo, who entered fourth, and Lyons. Lyons was in control and went for a Tiger Bomb, but Choo countered with a rana and hooked the legs to get the pinfall, the win, and the title.
This marks the first title reign for Wendy Choo in WWE. The championship was vacated by Kendal Grey on the March 11th episode of EVOLVE. Grey moved onto NXT full-time and relinguished the championship as a result.
