Will Ospreay Weighs In On Regularly Being Asked About WWE In Interviews

Will Ospreay understands why he’s often asked about WWE in interviews, though he says he’d rather talk about AEW. Ospreay tends to be asked about WWE a fair amount when he does press rounds, and his answers have a tendency to be turned into outrage fodder on social media.
During a recent interview with Brandon Kravitz, Ospreay was asked if he’s tired about being asked about the competition. He said he knows it’s just how it works and while he would rather talk about what AEW is doing, it is what it is.
“Oh, it’s — I just I know it’s a part of the gig,” Ospreay told Kravitz (per Fightful). “Like, people always asking, I can only give my opinion. I don’t really care about it.”
He continued, “It’s just, I’d rather focus on AEW and I’d rather focus on like, what we’re able to do here, and what I believe AEW is changing the face of professional wrestling, and I love what we present. I love what we do. I love our wrestling. I love everything that like we’re all about. So like, I couldn’t really care less about any other promotion.”
Will Ospreay is the current AEW World Champion, having retained the title over the weekend at AEW WrestleDream in Clockwork Carnage.
