Women’s Title Match Ends In Double DQ On WWE NXT Due to Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca got her revenge on Zaria, costing her the NXT Women’s Championship on this week’s NXT with a double DQ finish. Tuesday night’s show saw Zaria challenge Jacy Jayne for the title just a week after she turned on Ruca and cost her the championship.

The match went almost 11 minutes and late in the bout, Zaria was in control as she countered a Rolling Encore into a spear. Ruca hit the ring and took out Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid before entering the ring to hit a double Sol Snatcher to Zaria and Jayne. The match was ruled a double DQ with Jayne retaining as a result. You can see highlights from the match below.

The finish gave rise to immediate speculation that WWE may announce an NXT Women’s Championship match for NXT Vengeance Day. However, as of now no such match has been announced.
Robert Stone said that at Vengeance Day, he will make a decision regarding a title match.

Jayne has been NXT Women’s Champion for 106 in this, her second reign. She won the title back by defeating Tatum Paxley at NXT: Gold Rush night one on November 18th when The Culling turned on Paxley. Jayne has held the title for a total of 256 days between her two runs.
