WWE Announces Venue for the Final Match of John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE announced the details on Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, featuring the final match of John Cena. The event has been announced as taking place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Also, WWE will have a full weekend Takeover with other WWE events to go along with Cena’s final match.
Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday, October 17 at 10:00 am EST/7:00 am PST. Presale access will kick off on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:00 am EST/7:00 am PEST. Additionally, WWE will film a live episode of Six Feet Under with The Undertaker on Friday, December 12 at The Howard Theatre as part of WWE’s Washington, D.C. Takeover.
Speaking on today’s announcement, WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque commented, “John’s contributions to WWE are immeasurable. There are no words that can truly relay how much he means to this business.” Triple H continued, “Together with our partners at Events DC and Capital One Arena, we look forward to honoring his legacy and delivering an unforgettable send-off for both John and the WWE Universe.”
Events DC President and CEO Angie M. Gates also commented, “Washington, D.C. is the Sports Capital and the perfect place to honor John Cena’s remarkable legacy.” She added, “We are excited to welcome WWE fans from our city and around the globe to witness an unforgettable final showdown in our nation’s capital. We deeply value our partnership with WWE and look forward to providing fans with an experience they will cherish forever.”
Monutmental Sports & Entertainment President Jordan Silberman also stated in a press release, “It is our great privilege to host John Cena’s historic final match at Capital One Arena, a staple venue that has consistently witnessed dozens of marquee WWE events over the years.” Silberman added, “There’s no stage more fitting to celebrate the legacy of a true entertainment icon than our building, with a backdrop anchored in the heart of Downtown D.C”
The Official WWE Superstore will also open at the Gallery Space DC featuring a large selection of John Cena Final Match merchandise and more. As noted, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, featuring the Final Match, of John Cena will stream exclusively on Peacock and will not be broadcast on NBC as well.
