Spectrum Sports reporter Jon Alba shared some details today on the COVID-19 testing protocols for the fans to attend NXT events at the Capitol Wrestling Center. According to Alba’s latest report, WWE sets up the testing protocols for the fans in attendance, covers the testing costs, and designates a testing spot for them to report to. Once they are tested, they receive a notification if they are cleared or not. Temperature checks are also still held at the door of the venue before they go in.

Additionally, Alba stated that the COVID-19 testing for NXT shows will happen the day before. All individuals who attend the shows are then taken to their pod, where they are to stay with those in their party. Sanitation materials are also available to them inside the pod.

Alba also noted that some attendees stated they have been able to check their results for the COVID-19 testing, along with WWE giving them clearance. He initially reported that it appeared their test results were not made available, but now it looks like some attendees have received those results.

The coronavirus testing is handled by Aventus Labs. This is the same test provider WWE uses for its own talent and staff.

As previously noted, Triple H announced that a small amount of fans would be in attendance at NXT TakeOver 31. A portion of the WWE Performance Center was rebuilt into the Capitol Wrestling Center to hold events and also to allow fans to attend NXT shows during the pandemic.

Earlier this week, WFTV reported that The Orange County Department of Health was asking its Strike Team to investigate a number of businesses as potential hotspots where COVID-19 is spreading. The WWE Performance Center, the Amway Center (aka WWE ThunderDome), and Full Sail University were all on the list of businesses that were being investigated.
