WWE News: Bill Simmons Exits ESPN Due to Lifting Mick Foley Line, New Merchandise on Sale, Adam Rose Comments on Behind the Curtain Special
– Deadspin has released a report examining how Bill Simmons’ lifting a line from Mick Foley, “testicular fortitude,” in a diatribe against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on The Dan Patrick was what led to his recent departure from ESPN. Multiple sources claim that Simmons saying “testicular fortitude” was the tipping point that led to Simmon’s exit.
– WWE.com published a new interview with NXT worker Jessie McKay.
– WWE Shop is now selling new tumbler glasses for Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and the Bella Twins. Some of the new merchandise also includes commemorative plaques for Extreme Rules, and new shirts for Sting, Ultimate Warrior, and Andre the Giant.
– ESPN’s WWE: Behind the Curtain special is set to re-air later tonight (May 9) on ESPN2 at 5PM EST. ESPN will re-broadcast the show on Tuesday, May 12 at 8PM EST.
– Speaking of the special, Adam Rose posted the following on his Twitter account after it aired. Rose was featured on the show.
