AEW All Out is scheduled to take place at 8PM ET on September 20th in Toronto, and WWE will be holding their own Premium Live Event that day in Indianapolis, Indiana with a main event of John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, though they have not yet confirmed the start time for the show.

Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that as of now, the two shows will go “head-to-head,” which would suggest that WWE’s PLE will take place in the evening. As noted earlier, Brock Lesnar is scheduled for the September 12th and 19th editions of Smackdown so he will be on TV in the lead-up to the September 20th PLE.

Meltzer adds that WWE adding the September 20th PLE so late makes it harder for Tony Khan to move AEW All Out to earlier in the day, adding that having to go head-to-head with a match as big as Cena vs. Lesnar will likely hurt AEW. If AEW does move All Out to an earlier time, WWE could still counter by putting a NXT event on in the afternoon, as they did to go head-to-head with AEW All In Texas back on July 12th after AEW moved All In Texas from its evening start time to an afternoon start time to avoid direct competition from WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Meltzer also noted that Nick Khan and Triple H seem to care a lot more about AEW than Vince McMahon did, as counter-programming AEW has become common under Khan and Triple H.
