Anonymous WWE Superstars Says ‘Boys Feel More Confident’ Backstage Due to AEW
– Is Double or Nothing selling out a big venue like the MGM Grand Garden Arena changing the culture backstage in World Wrestling Entertainment at all? A new online rumor indicates that could in fact be the case. During the Total Engagement podcast with Matt Koon, Koon revealed that he spoke with a current WWE Superstar under contract with the company and asked how the upcoming new wrestling promotion, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has affected the environment backstage in the promotion.
The anonymous Superstar is quoted as saying, “The boys feel more confident. The office wants us to think that AEW has nothing to do with new contracts coming.” An earlier rumor stated that even WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar planned to use AEW as a leveraging tactic for the next time he renegotiates with WWE.
