WWE Talent Reportedly Still Unhappy WIth Def Rebel Themes
WWE talent has continued to be unhappy with Def Rebel’s theme music for the company, per a new report. It was previously reported back in October that WWE was aware of the backlash toward Def Rebel’s music for wrestlers but didn’t have plans to replace them, and that WWE talents have been frustrated with the group and didn’t like their themes. There was a lot of reaction online during the Royal Rumble pointing to the fact that theme songs for several talent were unidentifiable and made it hard to know who was coming out based on the music, and Fightful Select reports that a number of talent feel the same.
The report notes that several talent have expressed displeasure with the quality of theme songs and have tried to get their previous themes back. WWE is also said to have made requests to change several themes that the talent have pushed back hard on. Some, but not all, have been able to keep their previous entrance themes.
The report goes on to say that very few talent that they have spoken to are happy with Def Rebel’s themes and a number of incoming stars preferred to bring their own theme music with them. There is no word on when Def Rebel’s agreement with WWE is up.
