Xavier Woods has been shown making some questionable decisions on WWE Raw as of late, and he explained his actions in a new video. The New Day member posted a rollerblading video in which he spoke about some of his recent actions that has caused tension with Kofi Kingston and other babyfaces, teasing a potential heel turn. Those included pulling off Rey Mysterio’s mask in a match, not shaking Jey Uso’s hand after losing to him, and choosing not to help R-Truth during his assault at the hands of the Final Testament and The Miz.

In the video, which you can see below, Woods says that he “wanted to come on here and address a couple of things that have been bothering me for a while.” He said that regarding Mysterio, fans don’t understand what he was trying to do with was a snapmare to counter Mysterio’s offense which led to the mask accidentally coming off “for the hundredth time.” He says that Mysterio chose to cover his face, which was more important to him, while to Woods winning was more important so he got the pin.

In regard to Uso, he notes that Uso had never beaten him and he was confused by being booed when he walked out for the match. He acknowledged that Uso beat him but said fans don’t understand what was going on in his head. He said he was heated so no, he didn’t shake Uso’s hand and after the match Bron Breakker came in and speared Uso. Kofi came in and cut speared, so he came to see to Kofi and got speared even though he didn’t want to help in the first place.

Finally, he says that he didn’t help R-Truth because while R-Truth was rightfully angry at Miz, the attack led to Truth being attacked by six opponents out there. Kofi wanted to help him just like they did with Uso, but he was worried running in with no plan could lead to them being “stomped out” and not medically cleared, citing that Kross put Kingston on the shelf previously. That could have led to them not being able to compete next Monday for the #1 contendership to the World Tag Team Championships. He said he doesn’t get why people are pissed at him as he’s trying to keep himself and his partner safe.
