Austin Aries Reportedly Suffered a Minor Concussion
– Per The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com), Austin Aries is reportedly dealing with a concussion injury. According to an Observer source, Aries suffered a minor concussion at Bound for Glory and “was physically beaten down.” Additionally, there are said to be more layers to what happened in the finish to Aries’ match with Johnny Impact at Bound for Glory.
The report goes on to state that Impact Wrestling wasn’t aware of Aries’ concussion and did not confirm the injury. Also, The Observer reports that Aries’ contract with Impact Wrestling has expired, and he hasn’t yet signed a new deal. Aries was present at the first day of TV tapings for Impact in New York on October 8, but he was “sent home” and TV scripts had to be rewritten. Earlier this week, Petey Williams stated that Aries’ contract with Impact had expired.
After losing his title to Johnny Impact in the main event at Bound for Glory, Aries got up and walked out of the ring. He then flipped off the crowd and Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling Don Callis.
