Various News: Cena on Hannity, Hermie Sadler to Drive the TNA Truck, More on Abismo Negro
– Yesterday, funeral services for Andres Alejandro Palomque Gonzalez (Abismo Negro) were held at Casa Pedegral de la Casa Funderia J. Garcia Lopez in Villahermosa. Family, friends, wrestlers and the entire AAA staff attended. Blanca Perla Garcia, Abismo’s wife, gave a eulogy while Aero Star and Black Abyss were very upset at the loss of their mentor.
*Hijo del Santo was asked about steroids causing the death, and he stated that much like it is a problem in the US, it is a problem in Mexico and that it needs addressed.
*AAA Owner Joaquin Roldan has stated that there is a tribute show in the works, and that the “Abismo Negro” gimmick would be retired.
*Dr. Luis Martinez said that the death could be steroid related, but also that Negro wasn’t using good judgment, due to the anxiety and anger that could’ve been enhanced by steroids.
*Abismo Negro was to work last Saturday night in Cancun, but when he didn’t show up, they put someone else in the outfit. [Credit: Kris Zellner and Pwinsider.com]
