WWE has officially announced its 2016 scholarship recipients. The company has awarded $5,000 to former talents who are pursuing further education. The 2016 recipients include former talents Jamie Keyes, Kim Nielsen, and Antonio Thomas.

Keyes was previously a talent for NXT Season Three, who appeared under the tutelage of the Bella Twins. Before she worked in WWE, Keyes was pursuing a nursing degree. Keyes is now working toward her master’s degree in nursing after finishing her in-ring career. She also wants a nurse practitioner’s license after receiving her degree.

Kim Nielsen is a former WWE Developmental talent. She is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Addiction and Recovery with a minor in Christian Counseling at Liberty University. She currently boasts a 4.0 GPA and made the Dean’s List.

Finally, Antonio Thomas was a member of the Heart Throbs in WWE in 2005. Thomas currently works as an Adaptive Physical Education and Health teacher at a special needs school for middle and high school students on the autism spectrum. Thomas also provides special services for three autistic, nonverbal boys. He’s currently looking to complete his master’s degree in Elementary Education and then pursue doctoral work and special needs services for his students.

Previous scholarship recipients include Kristal Marshall, Maria, Paul Burchill and Michael Thompson.
