Patricky Freire was the top earner for Bellator 172. MMAjunkie reports that Freire took home $80,000 (which included his win bonus) for his main event victory over Josh Thomson. The runners-up were Cheick Kongo and Josh Koscheck, who had a salary of $75,000 each. Kongo won his fight against Oli Thompson but did not get a win bonus. The figures came from the California State Athletic Commission.
