More Details on War Machine Coming to WWE & When They Informed ROH & NJPW They Were Signing
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, War Machine’s final match with NJPW is either the WrestleKingdom 12 never six-man gauntlet, or the next day at New Year’s Dash. They officially informed New Japan management that they were leaving. NJPW were under the impression that their status was up in the air and that they were weighing options until they confirmed it to them this past week that they were finishing up.
They had told other promoters that they weren’t taking any indie dates after early next year and actually told ROH several months back not to make plans for them for 2018. The team is currently undergoing medicals. They were in talks with WWE last year, but that was when WWE had that legal issue with ROH and WWE backed off on signing anyone from ROH until it had been cleared up.
