During a recent interview with Chris Distefano, WWE Superstar and reigning Tag Team Champion Damian Priest was asked about when he will hang it up and retire from active competition. Priest noted that while he doesn’t have a number at what age he wants to stop, he plans to retire before he turns 50 years old.
Damian Priest explained (via Fightful), “I don’t have a number. I don’t have a time, but I know that I’m going to listen to my body. I’ve already — I can tell, you know, it’s just natural that you’re going to start slowing down.” he continued, “I don’t know how much time I have left, but I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. But at the same time, into my 50s, definitely not. Before 50, I would be done.”
The former World Heavyweight Champion is currently 43 years old. He and R-Truth currently hold the WWE Tag Team Titles. His tag team partner, R-Truth, is 54 years old.
Priest and R-Truth last defended the titles on the June 19 edition of WWE SmackDown, beating The MFTs Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga to retain the belts.
