Steve Maclin battled AEW’s Adam Copeland in the main event of MLP Northern Rising earlier this month with a major injury.
Ten weeks before the match, Steve suffered a broken fibula while competing against Isaiah Broner at NCG Drive to Glory. He suffered the injury while hitting a Choke Backbreaker onto his knee. The match was subsequently stopped, with medical officials rushing to check on Maclin.
Maclin initially thought he had just rolled or, worse, fractured his ankle. As it turned out, he had suffered a broken fibula. He underwent extensive rehab for the next 10 weeks to get ready for the dream match against Adam Copeland.
