– OddsChecker.com released some updated betting odds for this year’s WrestleMania 34. Additionally, Wrestlezone.com released a rumor mill report from the betting website, suggesting that LA Galaxy footballer (soccer player), Zlatan Ibrahimović, could make an appearance at the event this weekend.
Previously, Ibrahimović had an apparent 50/1 shot to appear at the event. Those odds have apparently been slashed by bookmakers down to 16/1. You can read Oddschecker’s full statement below.
The Wrestlemania rumour mill is in full flow in the lead up to this Sunday’s show, and a certain star footballer who recently moved to the US is being touted with an appearance in the squared circle.
Zlatan Ibrahimović, who recently joined MLS side LA Galaxy, is being tipped to not just attend Wrestlemania 34, but to star in it.
Sources suggest that the Swedish striker is keen on an appearance at the Showcase of the Immortals, and bookies have slashed odds on the superstar taking part in the show.
He was originally a 50/1 shot to appear on the Grandest Stage of them All, but that’s been cut into 16/1 with some bookmakers.
From a punters’ perspective, there’s been a plethora of attention on the market, with fans keen on backing the potential cross-over with football and wrestling.
The striker could follow in the footsteps of ex-United teammate Wayne Rooney, who slapped WWE Superstar Wade Barret when the sports-entertainment behemoth came to Manchester.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “One of the more obscure rumours bookmakers have reacted to is Swedish sensation Zlatan Ibrahimović rocking up at Wrestlemania 34.
“With the striker making a recent move across the pond and his flair for the dramatic – it’s easy to see why this story is gathering pace.”
