The Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon will in fact have creatures of its titular namesake, as some new concept art revealed. In a Medium post by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar detailing the company’s groundbreaking announcement that their 2021 film slate will arrive day-and-date on HBO Max, a couple pieces of concept art showed off what appear to be two separate dragons for the upcoming series. You can see those in the gallery below.

Kilar noted that principal photography starts House of the Dragon in a few months in the post.

House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and will chronicle the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens, who is the only family of dragon lords to survive the Doom of Valyria. It will take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and is created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal, with Miguel Sapochnik set to direct the pilot and additional episodes. Sapochnik and Condal are the co-showrunners of the show, which is aiming for a 2022 debut. Paddy Considine is set to play King Viserys I in the series.
