Certain Wrestlers Reportedly Not Happy With Having To Prepare For WWE Return To Touring With Performance Center Training

June 4, 2021 | Posted by Joseph Lee

It was reported earlier this week that WWE issued a new edict that all wrestlers from the top of the company to the bottom have to report to the WWE Performance Center to take part in workouts as they prepare for a return to live touring. While that report had suggested that most talents were looking forward to it due to feeling their ring timing was off, that may not be the case for everyone.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that whether or not a wrestler was happy with the news depends largely on where they live. Those who live in the Orlando area don’t see it as a big deal and have no problem attending. However, those who live outside of Orlando are not happy as it will interrupt their home life and routine, as well as cut down on their time with their families. Those wrestlers feel they can train and do conditioning while at home.

The belief is that it’s one thing to go on the road and get paid for it to do shows, but going on the road for several days to do drills and not get paid extra is something else. It was also noted that while the original report said that everyone would be required, this isn’t exactly true. It’s considered “optional” for the top stars, especially if they don’t live in the area.
