Five Last Drive-In Specials Set to Air Before New Season Arrives

Joe Bob Briggs’ The Last Drive-In on Shudder has become appointment viewing for horror fans, and its co-host says there will be five specials before the next season bows. Darcy Prince, known to fans of the show as “Darcy the Mail Girl,” posted to Twitter to respond to a fan who asked about hints for the upcoming season to reveal that there are plenty more special episodes before the new season arrives.

Darcy wrote:

“Season opener? That’s a ways off! We’ve got 5 specials first”

The variety series features Briggs hosting weekly double features of horror films, sci-fi, and other cult classics. It has run for three seasons so far with eight special episodes that have aired in-between. We alrady know that a “Halloween Hoedown” special is coming next month.

The first three seasons all premiered in March or April, so there’s plenty to look forward to before then.
