The Conjuring Universe Drama In Development At Max

A drama series set within The Conjuring Universe is in the works at Max. The newly-renamed streaming service (formerly HBO Max) announced on Wednesday that the as yet-unnamed series will be set in the universe of the horror franchise and will be executive produced by Peter Safran, with James Wan in talks to executive produce as well.

According to the announcement, the series will “continue the story established in the feature films” without further details provided. The franchise includes the three Conjuring movies along with the Annabelle trilogy and The Nun, and has collectively grossed over $2 billion worldwide.

Wan’s Atomic Monster Productions and Safran’s The Safran Company will produce the the series in association with WBTV.
