Bob Holly has been out of the ring for several years, and he recently talked about his physical health. What is Bob Holly doing now? Holly — best known as Hardcore Holly and to a lesser extent, Thurman ‘Sparky’ Plugg, from his 15-year WWE run that ended in 2009 — spoke with The Sun for a new interview and talked about the various tolls that wrestling and the wrestling business has taken on his body.

“My elbows are really bad,” Holly said. “That’s the only thing that really bothers me out of everything. Yeah, I have the back issues, I have that, but my back doesn’t bother me [nearly] as bad as my elbows do. Most of my problems are through mostly my left elbow.”

Holly famously had to undergo surgery after breaking his neck during a match with Brock Lesnar. He noted of the various physical effects he deals with now, “It was worth it to me. Like I said, my elbows won’t straighten out. I’d say, they’re probably… I wouldn’t quite say 45 degree angles. I don’t know. I don’t know what degree it would be. My elbows won’t straighten out, both of them. But as far as, like, my neck, my neck doesn’t really bother me that bad.”

Holly’s most recent match was in June of 2019.
