Michelle Garza Cervera, whose Huesera: The Bone Woman released last year, will direct the film for 20th Century Studios. Micah Bloomberg wrote the script for the new take, which will be a two-hander with Monroe playing the role Rebecca De Mornay played in the first.

The original film starred De Mornay and made her a household name.
